What You’ll Need
- Prairie Fresh® Signature Pork Shoulder with Carnitas Seasoning
- Juice of one orange (about ¼ cup)
- Juice of 2 limes (about ¼ cup)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 jalapeno, diced
- White rice
Suggested Toppings:
- Limes
- Cilantro
- Pico de Gallo
- Corn
- Black beans
- Lettuce
- Chihuahua cheese or cotija cheese
- Sour cream or crema
- Guacamole
Directions
- Add pork shoulder roast to slow cooker. Then add sliced onion and jalapeno, followed by orange and lime juice.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
- Shred pork in slow cooker.
- OPTIONAL: For crispy edges on pork, line a baking sheet with foil and spread cooked shredded pork across sheet.
- Bake at 425 F for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve pork with rice and your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
